To make it easier for you to book and manage your appointments, we’ve implemented an online booking service.

Click the button to go straight to our online system—or read more about it below.

Alternatively, you can request an appointment by calling your practice reception team, who’ll be happy to help.

Please be available to take a telephone call as we may call you on the same day. If we can not get hold of you, you may need to complete a new online form

Appointments.

How to book an appointment at Haresfield & Kempsey Surgeries.

How to book an appointment.

In response to patient feedback, we’ve revamped our booking system to make it easier for patients to book appointments online—and to make sure all our patients are seen by an appropriate member of our team, in a time appropriate to their treatment needs.

Patients who wish to call our practices to book are still very welcome to do so—our phone lines are open from 8:15am, with extra staff on hand to deal with our high call volumes—but we know that for many patients, booking online is now their preferred option.

Those patients who do book online also help us to keep our phone lines free for patients who don’t have internet access, or need to speak to a receptionist—so we hope if you’re able to, you’ll give our new system a try.

What does it involve?

You’ll be asked a few questions about your condition, including what symptoms you're suffering and when they began. The more detail you can provide, the better—as this helps our triage team to identify how quickly you’ll need to be seen, and by who.

Your enquiry will be triaged on the day it is received—though you will only be contacted within this time if your symptoms are triaged as urgent by our clinical team.

However, under normal circumstances patients will be contacted within 24 hours to be offered an appropriate appointment, usually with their preferred GP.

How is it different from your old system?

We’ve tested almost every online consulting system on the market, and we believe our chosen option is the most user-friendly, and offers the best solution for our patients - who’ve told us they like being able to manage their healthcare online, but didn’t find our old system as easy to use as they’d have liked it to be.

This new system is intuitive and easy to navigate, and gives you a range of options to manage your healthcare with us through one simple portal—while using AI to ask you the right questions, so our doctors can use their consultations with you to get to the root of what’s wrong.

We believe it’s a big improvement on our previous platform—and we hope you’ll give it a try.

Cancellations.

Please always let us know if you don’t wish to take up your appointment. Even if it is at the last minute, we can always fill it. We understand that you may now feel better or something else has cropped up and we are happy to rearrange… But please tell us!

You can cancel by calling 01905 368503and pressing option 1 - or by using our online consulting system.

Please note that we do record all incidences of not turning up, and we will be in touch if you miss an appointment.

If you miss appointments more than once or twice, we will invite you to a meeting with our Practice Manager. We do reserve the right to ask you to leave the practice list if you won’t help us to help you by keeping to your appointments - as missed appointments cost the NHS money, and make it harder for the rest of our local community to access appointments with us.

Need help urgently?

Patients with urgent requirements will always be seen on the same day—but if you have an emergency you don’t think is appropriate for us, or we are closed, you should call the following numbers:

999

Patients with very serious or life-threatening health conditions, such as chest pain, severe bleeding or loss of consciousness, should phone 999 without delay.

NHS 111

Patients who are unsure whether to visit A&E for their condition, or have an urgent medical need outside of our opening hours, should call NHS 111.

Extended Access Appointments.

We host a variety of appointments outside of our normal surgery hours. These include:

  • Monday, Tuesday and Thursday mornings : 7:15am – 8:00am

  • Monday evenings: 6:30pm to 8:00pm

You can also book an appointment to see a local clinician in the evenings or on Saturday and Sunday at locations across South Worcestershire.

Our local GP practices are working together to provide extended access appointments to our patients. This means that your extended access appointment may be with a different GP, nurse or based in a different location or practice than you are used to, and some of these appointments are telephone only.

These appointments are pre-bookable by contacting the surgery during our opening times. When calling, please ask for an extended access appointment and our receptionists will help you to find a convenient appointment.
